Has a way been found to avoid prosecuting those this government does not want to prosecute i.e. a way to throw damning information about others under the carpet?

These new ‘police bail’ conditions on the former oil trader prove that the police are seriously considering consulting Prime Minister Joseph Muscat to revoke the immunity given to George Farrugia and eventually take him to court. Legal experts who spoke to this newsroom confirmed that should this be the case, all testimony given by George Farrugia under immunity, which could incriminate himself and the others he identified in the oil procurement scandal, cannot be used in court.

And surprise, surprise – online shopping got the blame in Salvu Balzan’s online report about this yesterday.

    A Taghna Lkollers’ paradise.

That figure only makes sense if the other 2 values are known as well. How many saw it the same and how many saw it increasing?

If 10% saw it the same and 50% saw it increasing, it’s a very different picture then 55% saw it the same, and 5% saw an increase.

In addition, the people who saw a difference could be one-man bands, or large retailers with dozens of employees. If they weigh equally, the picture is also quite distorted.. People should be more critical on presented statistics.

TVM unbelievably reported this story using the caption ‘Jiżdied il-bejgħ mill-ħwienet’ last night.

Talk about spin. I was wondering why what the reporter was saying and what was written didn’t correspond.

Here you can watch the video but without the caption.

Bir-rispet kollu, retailers have to wake up, get out of their comfy beds and get real.

What with the euro and the internet things have changed drastically. They have never been well known for their attitude towards customers.

Time they realised what real business is all about. When you don’t have the luxury of monopoly, it’ a jungle out there. Hard cheese guys.
