Standards in freefall: Central Bank of Malta director is spokesman for the hunters’ lobby

Romina Cuschieri, a Taghna Lkoll appointee to the board of the Central Bank of Malta, is now speaking to the press as the spokesman for the FKNK, the hunters and trappers lobby.

Cuschieri is also a Taghna Lkoll appointee to the chair of the the Student Maintenance Grants board, but it is her position as a Central Bank director that is the more relevant here.

Some people just don’t know what the parameters of proper behaviour are when they are given, abusively, senior positions which they are not fit to hold.

As you can see from this photograph taken at a Labour Party mass meeting two years ago, at which Cuschieri is accompanied by that Mintoffian fossil Joe Debono Grech, She’s In.

You can say that again.

So now we have a Central Bank of Malta director working as the hunters’ spokesman. If we were not living in Taghna Lkoll Land, I would say ‘unbelievable’.
