Newsbook – RTK Radio’s sister news portal – today reported more about the abusive antics of Henry Mifsud, the Taghna Lkoll appointee to the top post at the Institute of Tourism Studies.

You have the link below, but here are the main points.

1. He gave specific instructions for a seminar and Christmas party, for teaching staff only, to be held at a hotel where his son is general manager – on Christmas Eve.

2. Questions about this party were put in parliament to Tourism Minister Edward Zammit Lewis by Shadow Tourism Minister Antoine Borg.

The Tourism Minister replied that these were simple ‘refreshment drinks’ (his words) at a ‘Christmas Eve get-together’ for employees.

3. European Union funds allocated to the Institute of Tourism Studies were used to pay for the party.

4. The wine served at the party was taken from the college restaurant stores. There was also an open bar.

5. Sources told Newsbook that the amount spent on the party was “excessive”.

6. The party began at 1pm. At 6pm, Henry Mifsud was helped to leave because he was too drunk to walk unaided.
