OLAF’s investigation into John Dalli’s secretive trips to the Bahamas

Has OLAF spoken to someone called Debbie Wicker in connection with (former EU Commissioner) John Dalli’s secretive trips to the Bahamas, staying in a villa rented by his daughter Claire Gauci Borda through the suspect company Tyre Ltd?

Wicker is from South Carolina and she is involved in a fake organisation called Kingdom Trust Traders and a notorious scam involving Iraqi dinars.

The Europe contact for Kingdom Trust Traders was (is?) Adrian Gauci Borda, who is married to Dalli’s daughter Claire.

The East Africa contact was (is?) Martin Zuch, current owner of Tyre Ltd, which recently appointed a known fraudster and a suspected money-launderer as directors. Tyre Ltd is registered to Dalli’s office in Portomaso, Malta. His daughters Claire Gauci Borda and Louisa Dalli were directors for a while.

I understand that Debbie Wicker has been to Malta where she has met with John Dalli, and that she was also at those Bahamas meetings in 2012.

Wicker is an associate of Tim Turner, who was arrested in the United States, convicted of fraud, and is now in jail. When Turner was arrested, he was planning to fly to Malta by private jet.

That was in 2012, around September – in between Dalli’s secretive trips to the Bahamas and his (forced) resignation from the European Commission in October.
