Hunting season after hunting season, tonnes of lead shot have fallen into the fields where the vegetables we eat are grown. The lead settles into the earth, filtering slowly down.

Four years ago already, the Malta Environment and Planning Authority had raised the alarm about the escalating levels of lead content in soil, which has contributed to its deterioration.

Support Maltese farmers and all those who prefer to buy and eat Malta-grown produce by voting No on 11 April. Escalating levels of lead shot in the soil where your food is grown is bad for you, bad for your children’s health and bad for farmers struggling to grow good things.
