Malta Council for Science and Technology celebrates Yes victory with a raised middle finger
This man’s psychological problems wouldn’t be at all relevant where he not still chairman of the Malta Council for Science and Technology, a position he was given back in the day for exactly the same reasons John Dalli was made European Commissioner.
Then he was reappointed by incoming prime minister Joseph Muscat, who owed his knave a great deal.
But the point here is the Malta Council for Science and Technology is an important council with work to do, funds to use and, above all, a reputation to protect – not just in Malta but in the European Union.
And then you get its chairman behaving like this in full, broad, public view while his fellow council members – almost all of them Taghna Lkoll appoint-niks – say nothing because holding on to their seat and currying favour with their irascible, hysterical and violent chairman is far more important than the state council whose interests and reputation they are there to safeguard.
I’m wondering about one thing here: exactly how does this square with Chairman Jeffrey’s special relationship with Malta Today owner-editor Saviour Balzan?
First they use each other, then Pullicino Orlando helps screw him over in the referendum campaign and marks victory with a photograph of a viciously-raised middle finger.
