Stop the press: Franco is reading a book

On the rare occasions that the Law Commissioner/President of the Law Commission tries to read a book in a language he can’t write, he needs to tell the world about it.

If you were a true reader, Franco, you’d no more bother making announcements about what you’re reading than about what you’re eating.

It’s the same with those who publish photos of their lunch – you just wonder whether they eat toast the rest of the time.

Another sign of somebody who is not a true reader: picking a title they think will impress, not knowing that books of that nature – this particular one was written 300 years ago – are used for reference and not read for relaxation or even read cover to cover.

Are you reading it in translation, Franco? You can’t even communicate in contemporary English, let alone the English written and spoken in the early 18th century.
