The search for Sai continues: the Laugh Out Loud installment
This report in The Malta Independent makes it so obvious that Konrad Mizzi’s wife has been paid off after packing up and leaving Malta. When government officials are pushed to answer questions about her, the right hand doesn’t know what the left is doing (and saying).
She has an office already: it’s registered on the Shanghai official consular list. But the government says even now that she’s still looking for one – 18 months after she left Malta and went to China.
Eighteen months looking for an office.
Further down in the story, they say the office (which they say further up hasn’t been found) is being equipped, and that’s why it’s taking so long. Oh, right.
And this after it was reliably reported some days ago that the Malta government has bought an office for consular use in Shanghai, for around two million euros.
Come clean, boys. The woman left Malta because she’d had enough – whether of Malta or of her husband or both is almost irrelevant now – and was paid off at a cost to the public purse to shut her up and make things easier for her energy minister husband.
