UPDATED/A rare sighting of Sai Mizzi on a Chinese website
I would never have found this without the help of the Chinese members of my international worldwide network of spies. It’s all in Chinese and doesn’t come up in an English-language search.
Well, so now we know that the Minister of Health and Energy spent Christmas in China (his children are there, with his estranged wife).
UPDATE: You just have to wonder whether they set up this pointless visit and photo-op (which was kept quiet by the Maltese government) so that Konrad Mizzi could claim his flight tickets off the government for a Christmas visit to his children.
He has free travel tickets for family visits as the ‘spouse’ under Sai Liang’s contract with Malta Enterprise, but they are not unlimited, unlike his travel on government business, so maybe he wanted to save them for other occasions.
Is that the sound of grunting we hear at the trough?
This was published on Boxing Day, and the caption to the photograph says: “Visit to Jiangsu Province Health Authority and Nanjing Chinese Medicine University and some hospitals in Nanjing on 22nd December 2014 by Minister Mizzi and his wife Sai Liang, who is also Maltese Consul-General in Shanghai.”
Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu Province, and it is less than one hour away from Shanghai by air. It is also served by high-speed trains from Shanghai and Beijing.
