Franco Debono has been reappointed to his shell commission for another year

Law Commission President Franco Debono has been reappointed for another year. There was a notice in the Government Gazette a few days ago (see below).

Former judge Philip Sciberras should be better than that. He should have more self-respect than to accept an appointment to this shell commission – which is purely a vehicle for Franco Debono to receive the ‘high honour’ be believes is his due – and what’s worse, to work beneath him as an ordinary member when he is a former judge and Debono is…well, never mind.

As for that Ramona Frendo, she is clearly there on merit, because as she sang in the Labour Party’s campaign video Malta Taghna Lkoll, she campaigned for Labour because she wants to live in a country where what counts is what you know and not who you know.

And yes, when I say that she is there on merit, I mean it. That’s why she has ended up working beneath the unbalanced and incompetent Franco Debono.
