Hunting still taking place at Marsascala

A reader has just telephoned me to say that he has just been left waiting on the line with the Police, being passed from person to person and department to department, for 23 minutes.

He rang them to report hunting gun-shots he heard this afternoon behind his house at the Bellavista estate in Marsascala.

He told me that he has heard the sound of hunting-guns on three different days since the season closed last week.

He asked me to report the matter here because he believes the police are taking him for a ride and not actually going over to search the area.

UPDATE: He has just texted me to say that since we spoke, he has heard another two gun-shots. “Excellent law enforcement,” he wrote.
