The man standing next to the prime minister at yesterday’s signing of a deal, at the Auberge de Castille, between the Malta government and a Jordanian construction magnate with significant interests in Saudi Arabia, is Palestinian-Canadian immigration and citizenship consultant Thaer Mukbel.
Mukbel owns Reach Canada and Mukbel Consulting, with offices based in Quebec.
What is an immigration and passport consultant doing at the signing of a contract between the Malta government and a Middle Eastern construction company, purportedly for the building of a university campus in an Outside Development Zone in Malta?
It looks like we are going to have to work this one out for ourselves.
