Opposition MP Jason Azzopardi has asked the Minister for Lapdancing and the Economy, Chris Cardona, how many people have been put on the public payroll at the Malta Gaming Authority since the Labour Party was elected to government.
And the answer is 60. That’s right: SIXTY. And they’ve increased the Malta Gaming Authority’s (and therefore the public sector’s) wage bill by ONE MILLION EUROS A YEAR.
What are they doing – napping at their desks and driving each other around? This is unbelievable – or it would have been, in normal circumstances.
Many of them, it goes without saying, are ‘positions of trust’, which is Labourspeak for ‘we want to give this person a job without going through an open call and interview process’.
