BREAKING NEWS: Helena Dalli handpicks Ronnie Pellegrini as head of secretariat

Right, this is the absolute limit. This is beyond corrupt, abusive and disgusting. Helena Dalli has appointed Golden Years thug Ronnie Pellegrini head of her private secretariat, her ministerial ‘chief of staff’.

It’s been rumoured for a while. Now it’s official, up there on the Department of Information’s contact list.

Ronnie Pellegrini is utterly vile, beyond description. His name will mean nothing to those who did not have to live through the hell called the Golden Years of Labour. Does the name Lorry Sant mean anything to you? Well, Ronnie was his fixer, his henchman, the thug Lorry sent to smash people up when they got in the way.

I have an eyewitness account – which I wrote about a year or so ago – of how Ronnie Pellegrini, sent in with a bunch of other thugs to break up a strike that was inconveniencing the corrupt government, smashed a striking worker unconscious with a crash helmet and left him lying there for dead.

The Civil Liberties Ministry, its secretariat headed by one of the worst and most vile thugs and fixers of the Years of Oppression – this ghastly government is now spoofing itself.

So help us God.

Somebody really needs to brief that unbelievably daft and shallow US ambassador about who her precious Civil Liberties Minister’s chief of staff really is, and give her to proper briefing as to his history.

That foolish woman really needs to get things into their proper perspective – because I truly doubt that this is a case of ‘it takes a wise (wo)man to play the fool’.

I think that she really is a fool to have believed all that rot.

The most fundamental building-block of civil liberties – of human rights – is freedom of expression, closely followed by freedom of association, which means not being made to suffer consequences for your political or other associative choices, or the views you express – and Helena Dalli’s hand-picked head of secretariat stands for the opposite of that. He believes the opposite of that.

Without freedom of expression and freedom of association without fear of the consequences, same-sex marriage means nothing.

This is a fundamental truth that people like Gina Abercrombie-Winstanley and Felix Busuttil need to suck up whole.
