Clean out your own house first, Mr Mizzi

Konrad Mizzi has a nerve, playing the hero by telling Enemalta Corporation to sack this former police officer who got his job there abusively.

For a start, cabinet ministers should no more be telling a state corporation who to sack than they should be telling a state corporation who to employ.

Secondly, Enemalta Corporation is now also owned by China and so Konrad Mizzi has even less justification for interfering in its choice of employees.

And thirdly (and most crucially), when his own wife obtained her job on the public payroll in the most corrupt and abusive manner possible, Konrad Mizzi should have the good sense to understand that he should clean out his own house first.
