Hani Hasan Naji Al Salah and two SOCAR officials arrived in Malta yesterday

Hani Hasan Naji Al Salah, sole proprietor of the Malta-incorporated company Sadeen Education Investment Ltd, arrived in Malta yesterday on the Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul.

Two officials of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) were on the same flight. They were travelling separately to Al Salah and their presence on the same flight is taken to be coincidental.

Both Al Salah and the SOCAR officials were met on the airport runway by limousines as soon as they emerged from the plane, and were whisked away. It is not known whether they went through passport control.
