I told you back in March that the government had struck a deal with Oxley Group
The government has announced its preferred bidder for St Luke’s and Gozo General, and – what a surprise! – it turns out to be the company owned by Oxley Group.
Back in March, I reported on this website that the government had already struck a deal on the hospitals with Oxley Capital, and that any tender process/call for expressions of interest was a fraud because the other bidders would merely be used as stalking-horses.
I knew that the government had struck its deal already because I had information that as far back as January, representatives of Oxley Group were meeting potential business contacts at the offices of PriceWaterhouseCoopers – who work for them in Malta – and telling them straight and plain that they had reached agreement with the government on taking over St Luke’s and Gozo General.
When I was told in March, I immediately sent a message to the prime minister’s head of communications, Kurt Farrugia, saying that I had information the government had already entered into a hospital deal with Oxley Capital/Group. Farrugia, who usually answers immediately, did not reply at all.
The Opposition needs to raise hell about this one – it stinks of corruption too.
