free world

When he was asked about his backbencher Marlene Farrugia’s presence at a PN-organised rally at Zonqor Point yesterday, the prime minister replied “It’s a free world.”

Well, no, actually it isn’t a free world, and nobody knows this better than Muscat, who has made a point of allying himself and identifying with some of the non-free parts of the world: China, Azerbaijan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and so on.

And if what he really meant is that it’s a free country, then the only possible response to that is: no thanks to Labour.
