Shareholders: the government of Malta and Karl Cutajar (b. 1997)

Sometimes it’s important to see things laid out spare and bare in official documents instead of just reading about them in newspaper reports.

These are the details of Fort Security Services Ltd in the Companies Registry at the Malta Financial Services Authority.

Karl Cutajar isn’t just a director & c & c – more crucially, he is a shareholder alongside the government of Malta.

It’s not just ludicrous (“the shareholder of this company are the government of Malta and an 18-year-old nephew of the Economy Minister’s chief of staff”). It’s highly suspect.

That teenager is obviously a front for the shady adults in his life.

The Economy Minister announced in parliament tonight that Karl Cutajar has resigned from the board of directors, citing “political victimisation” (insufferable).

He will, I imagine, remain a shareholder, given how nothing was said about that.

The Economy Minister (given the way things are going, I feel I have to specify he's the one on the right) with the 18-year-old tycoon he has selected to be a shareholder alongside the government of Malta.
