The word is ‘distract’, Mr Chairman, not ‘detract’

The chairman of the Malta Council for Science and Technology uploaded this when news broke of how he is paid as a full-time executive chairman but only pops in to work on Wednesdays (if that).
I wonder what his goals are, from he won’t be ‘detracted’, given that he’s 52 with his political career and two marriages lying behind him in ruins.
To become an astronaut or a fireman, perhaps? Or maybe that little blue rubber-man right there.
