A disgraceful waste of public money

Just look at this. What are diplomats for? But this government doesn’t trust them.

Economy Minister Chris Cardona uses public money to pay for his communications officer to fly to Shanghai and back (with a couple of hotel nights in between) just to be a monitoring presence at Sai Mizzi Liang’s 30-minute meeting with the Opposition leader.

Shocking.

Cardona is rapidly revealing himself to be the next will-detonate-sooner-rather-than-later landmine at government HQ. Like ex Police and Army Minister Manuel Mallia, with his wretched take on life and money and his predilection for the people of the Paceville underworld and for sleazy set-ups like Gzira boxing-matches, he is a big accident waiting to happen.

The prime minister should do something about him for the government’s own sake as well as for the sake of the portfolios which he has so irresponsibly given him.
