Silvan Fenech, the raving Laburist who is a Stable-mate and drinking buddy of the Minister for the Economy, was on the board of Arriva Malta at the height of the bus company’s troubles post-launch, representing shareholders of the family-owned Tumas Group.

No wonder it all went cock-eyed, quite frankly.

Economy Minister Chris Cardona is currently living rent-free in a luxury flat at Portomaso loaned to him by Fenech, after his second wife of just two years asked him to leave the marital home.

If the current Finance Minister takes a trip on the Fenech family’s private plane to watch a football match with one of his uncles and the family’s business partner Joe Gasan, I’m guessing that Silvan Fenech won’t be telling his mates in the Labour Party any time soon.
