How wonderful it must be to have a name like Mario Camilleri. You can move through Malta, let alone the world, like the invisible man, untouched by the major scandal that is still reverberating through the news.

You can walk into a party like this, say “Hi, my name’s Mario Camilleri” and no bells ring for anyone at all. Some people have all the luck.
