Is this a joke? Chris Cardona’s agreement with China on ‘best practice in intellectual property’

Do you ever get the feeling that the government is having us on? Every day has become like a skit from a British satirical TV show about political life in a southern Mediterranean island state.

Today we hear that Chris Cardona, Minister for the Economy – office: a bar called The Stables in Sappers Street, Valletta – has signed a memorandum of understanding with China on INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY.

This is because Malta, a member state of the European Union, really needs to learn a lot from China – the knock-off, rip-off capital of the world – about how best to protect intellectual property rights.
