Taking a break from The Stable

On Sunday evening, members of my international worldwide network of spies – it’s been a while since I mentioned them – saw the Minister for the Economy dining at Frankie Grima’s The City Lounge on Old Theatre Street, Valletta (formerly the post-WWII dance-hall called The Egyptian Queen).

He was with a man called Neal Azzopardi (see picture) who is in catering and solar panels, and with a Maltese-speaking woman with dyed blonde hair to whom he is clearly romantically attached because they were sitting very close together and all but kissing.

I sent my informants pictures of the Minister’s personal assistant, a handsome woman of 32 who is listed on the government’s contact list by her married name of Dana Bonnici but who goes by her maiden name of Dana Farrugia on Facebook, but they were unable to confirm whether it was she because they saw her mainly from behind.

Ms Bonnici/Farrugia’s sister, Leanne Cutajar, has spent the best part of the day on this website’s comments-board, defending the Minister for the Economy and insulting me for exposing his behaviour.

Neal Azzopardi, meanwhile, on Sunday evening posted a photograph of the dining-terrace at The City Lounge, with the word ‘Blisssssss’.
