What a farce: ex Super One reporter and current KullHadd editor meet journalists’ representatives
Joseph Muscat (former reporter and show host for the Labour Party’s television station, Super One) and Toni Abela (current editor of the Labour Party’s official Sunday newspaper, KullHadd) yesterday met representatives of the Institute of Journalists.
The statement released afterwards says that the journalists’ representatives met the prime minister. A small but significant correction, if I may: they did not. They met the Labour Party leader and his deputy leader.
The meeting, as can be seen clearly from the photograph, took place at the Labour Party headquarters, which means that Joseph Muscat did not meet them in his role as prime minister, but as the Labour leader. That is also why the party’s deputy leader (Toni Abela), its executive secretary (Lydia Abela), and its president (can’t remember his name and can’t be bothered to look it up) are by his side.
Interpret that as you wish.
