So…what’s brewing at Public Services Broadcasting?

Have a look at these extraordinary remarks which Quinton Scerri has just made. Scerri is a former Labour Party employee – he worked for the party’s television station – who transferred to the state broadcaster after March 2013.

He was Labour mayor of Haz-Zabbar (replaced after a putsch by the Identity Malta chief’s son, Marc Vella Bonnici, who had very few votes) and for rather a long while he went out with the Labour mayor of Hal Qormi and current CHOGM Organisation Committee employee, Rosianne ‘Nuxellina’ Cutajar.

Two issues here: 1. that’s absolutely no way for a PBS broadcaster to communicate in public about anyone, let alone about colleagues; 2. given that the people he’s insulting and complaining about are Taghna Lkoll favourites, what exactly is happening at the “PBS Creativity Hub”?

For those who are not into fanciful notions (I’m one of them), the “PBS Creativity Hub” is what in more civilised countries is known as Broadcasting House, or the equivalent. In other words, the HQ of the public service broadcaster.
