The Prime Minister and his Spouse celebrate €1.50 off the price of a 12kg gas cylinder

Marie Louise Coleiro Preca hosted the Ball of the August Moon last night – as the July moon waned – and the Prime Minister and his wife turned out to celebrate €1.50 off the price of a 12kg gas cylinder, she in a Labour-red dress (getting daring…).

It’s a fabulous improvement, though, on that tight white muslin kaftan with the holes snipped out of the shoulders.

He, meanwhile, is badly in need of getting his neck back and having his head shaved down to its previous size. Can people put on weight round their head? This was a revelation to me.

We now have a situation going on there in which people think his head has been Photoshopped on to his body. I actually get emails asking me whether some of the photos I upload are ‘real’.

I imagine this one will be no exception. It’s real, all right. There’s the official photographer’s stamp right there.
