Managment
Thanks you
Unless what they mean is ‘The managment thanks you’?
But the really bad one – the one that makes me wince – is ‘children under 13 years’. That’s Maltese English. In proper English, that should be ‘children under 13’. You would only include ‘years’ when using the stiff, formal and dated ’13 years of age’, which is now largely restricted to legalese.
When somebody asks your age, the proper reply is ‘thirteen’ and not ‘thirteen years’.
‘Thirteen years’ is a literal translation from Maltese – tlettax-il sena.
