Did he wet his pants en route and borrow his friend Edward’s holiday trousers, putting up the hems quickly with sticky-tape?
Ivory trousers, a blue suit-jacket (as distinct from a blazer), a white shirt and a violet tie. And, oh good grief, those shoes. His holiday walking shoes, with their white crepe shoes and white laces.
And he can’t claim to have dressed himself, because both his wife and ‘Elena’ were there with him. For heaven’s sake, even ‘Edward’ could have helped.
