The constantly self-satisfied Luciano Busuttil, freeloading Labour backbencher and overweight, unfit chairman of the Malta Sports Council, is in New Yawk.

He hasn’t video-selfied himself this time – maybe he got too much stick last time? – but he couldn’t resist uploading on his Facebook page a ‘nice pic swt’ of his tag.

These infantile people are quite beyond belief. Exactly how and why do so many Maltese people (men and women) stay so childish for so long?

I’m quite sure it wasn’t the case with earlier generations. Imagine adults in their 40s being childish during, say, the siege of World War II, uploading selfies taken at the bomb site which used to be their home, or in the queue at the Victory Kitchen.
