The Opposition leader should do this every day, not just today

The Opposition leader should cycle to the office every day, and not just today – except, of course, when there’s a downpour or a heatwave.

And once a week, he could run to the office instead. He runs almost every day anyway, so why not be practical about it. Besides which, it fits with the Zeitgeist.

It would be a marked and very pointed contrast to the overweight and unfit prime minister with his ‘rent to self’ fuel-guzzling car, sirens and police outriders clearing the traffic to let him through – a pompous relic of another era.
