BOV announces higher fees for corporate services on day it secretly signs loan agreement with Shanghai Electric

On 25 September, the very day it (secretly) signed an agreement to loan Shanghai Electric Malta Ltd €51.5 million over 10 months, the Bank of Valletta announced that it will be raising fees for corporate services.
This includes a new €200 fee for opening an account and a yearly ‘maintenance fee’ of €250 on each non-personal account. The bank had already raised fees for its safe deposit boxes.
