Look at the new lighting for the Auberge de Castille – and then they get upset when they’re accused of ruling through crass hamallagni.

The photograph of the new lighting was first uploaded on Facebook by the artist James Vella Clark a couple of days ago, drawing a stream of horrified comments.

For the sake of comparison, a photograph of the old (proper, non-hamallagni) lighting is beneath. Was there any reason to change the correct lighting into a ‘GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS/CASINO’ version? None except the obvious: a lighting contract for a bazuzlu. Is it Silvio ‘Do You Know Who I Am?’ Scerri’s Nexos Lighting, we wonder?

Questions in parliament, please – it’s looking like they don’t answer anything else.
