I absolutely cannot abide people like this

I think the British press and commentators are taking the correct tone on this matter, which is basically “Jerk with too much money and not enough sense f@@ks up while showing off”.

He owns 76 cars, for heaven’s sake – that is the sort of choice that should be frowned upon, not celebrated or held up as a good example of how to behave. It’s trash culture.

Anybody who spends his money on 76 cars has no business feeling good or being admired because he “uses them for charity”. It’s the most revolting kind of cynical hypocrisy.

People with that amount of money, who wish to use some of it for charity, set up a foundation or make specific donations of very large sums to the charities of their choice.

Kif dejjem nghid: m’hemmx aghar mill-hamalli bil-flus. A couple of British hamalli sell their business for millions and they immediately set about buying 76 cars in three years, having themselves photographed with them, and talking about the “surreal life” they lead.

And our head of state, with all her socialism and left-wing backchat over many decades, her championing of the poor and needy, is – like so many others, blinded by chavtastic flashiness.
