Joseph Muscat spends half a million euros on travel since becoming prime minister
In response to a question which Opposition MP Kristy Debono asked in parliament, the government today said that the prime minister spent €190,000 on travel between October last year and July this year.
A similar question was asked last year, which prompted the information that he had spent €300,000 on travel between March 2013 and December 2014.
True, there is duplication there for the months October, November and December 2014 – but that’s more than covered by all the travel he did in July, August and September this year, and for which we don’t have the figures.
€500 and a Maltese clock, anyone?
So, with the €208,000 a year that he’s spending on consultants, that brings it to a grand total of one million euros that Muscat has spent on travel and consultants since March 2013.
And that’s just him. Then there are all the others.
