Labour MP who stood in for Foreign Minister and Minister for Europe at UN Assembly threatens MZPN official

Luciano Busuttil, the Labour MP and Sports Council chairman who was chosen by the prime minister to go with him to the UN General Assembly in New York and stand in for the Foreign Minister and Minister for Europe, is currently engaged in threatening Moviment Żgħażagħ Partit Nazzjonalista official Nicky Azzopardi on Facebook.

Two years ago, Azzopardi was threatened and assaulted in a brawl, in which Malta Science Council chairman Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando was involved, at a Rabat pastizzi shop at 5am. Pullicino Orlando, who was married to Carmen Ciantar at the time, had gone there with Mariella Mifsud, a cousin of the Family Minister’s girlfriend and political appointee to Identity Malta, Amanda Mifsud.

This is the incident to which Luciano Busuttil refers as he threatens Nicky Azzopardi.

Busuttil’s vicious and completely inappropriate reaction was sparked off by Azzopardi’s remark that Mrs Busuttil has swapped her job at APS Bank for a taxpayer-funded position at the Malta Gaming Authority.

Luciano Busuttil would like Nicky Azzopardi to understand that it has nothing to do with the fact that she is married to him.
