Inspector Sandro Camilleri is chief of the police union. Peter Paul Zammit, who was reinstated into the police force by Minister Manuel Mallia, to become Police Commissioner after years working as a lawyer, was put in charge of security for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting after he resigned from that post. But then he resigned from his CHOGM security boss post too.

We’ve been wondering what has been happening about that – precisely nothing, it seems. And now, at the 11th hour, they have got a police inspector to try and recruit former police officers using Facebook. Perhaps Labour lawyers Andy Ellul and Vince Micallef might wish to apply.
