Super One reporter, 26, appointed head of Department of Citizenship & Expatriate Affairs

Charlene Zammit, 26, has been appointed head of the government’s Department of Citizenship & Expatriate Affairs, which is now under the auspices of Identity Malta.

She was previously employed with the Labour Party as a reporter for its television station, Super One, and until a couple of months ago was still reporting live to camera for One News. She is also the Labour mayor of Mqabba.

Zammit graduated in law last November. She has been installed on a ‘trusted person’ basis and replaces civil servant Mariella Grech.
