Who can trust a system like that?

It is hereby notified that by a decree dated the 12th October 2015 the Court of Magistrates (Gozo), Superior Jurisdiction, General Section, ordered the publication of the extract reproduced hereunder for the purpose of service in terms of Articles 187(3) and 931(3) of the Code of Organisation and Civil Procedure.

Whereas by a decree dated the 12th October 2015 by the said Court upon an application of the Hon. Anton Refalo whereby it was ordered that deputy curators be nominated in terms of law to represent the unknown persons who are entitled to receive the herein mentioned groundrent, and this in the records of schedule of deposit and concurrent redemption of groundrent bearing number 249/2015 in the names Hon. Anton Refalo versus deputy curators to represent the unknown persons who are entitled to receive the herein mentioned groundrent, filed on the 9th October 2015 in the Court of Magistrates (Gozo) Superior Jurisdiction, General Section, as well the other related and subsequent acts.

The applicant is the owner of a plot of land known as Ta’ Ġulju in Qala, Gozo, measuring circa two hundred and forty-five square metres (245 sq. m), which plot of land is bounded on the East by an entrance of the applicant, on the North and West by property of Salvu Buttigieg or his successors in title, or more precise boundaries, which plot of land was acquired by virtue of two deeds, namely one in the records of Notary Paul George Pisani published on the eighteenth (18th) November of the year nineteen ninety five (18/11/1995) and the another in the records of Notary Silvio Hili published on the thirteenth (13) of May of the year two thousand (2000), which land is shown on a plan and site-plan annexed to the said schedule of deposit. This land is subject to an annual and perpetual groundrent of nineteen euro cents (€0.19c).

That applicant wishes to avail himself of the faculty granted by Article 1501 of the Civil Code of the Laws of Malta, and redeem this groundrent burthening this property.

That the said groundrent of nineteen euro cents (€0.19c) capitalised at 5% amounts to three euro and eighty cents (€3.80c).

Whoever is interested to be nominated as a curator is hereby called upon to call at this Registry within six (6) days and make known their interest through a declaratory note to accept such an assignment and in default, this Court will proceed to nominate an official curator.
