Why would Maltese fireworks makers use the Nazi Party emblem?

These photographs are from a Facebook group of Maltese fireworks enthusiasts and makers. Those fireworks are intended for the Gudja feast.
The emblem is that of the Nazi Party, with the swastika replaced by a Maltese cross – or in some cases, a number.
