I have been informed that the police officers and soldiers deployed with the Administration Law Enforcement Unit, which carries out countryside patrols against illegal hunting and trapping, have been called back to their police and army units for the whole of November, even though it’s open season right now.
The reason given is that all reinforcements are required to provide security for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting and the Valletta Summit.
