La Piovra – promoting a fictitious university

You will notice that in the bottom left-hand corner of this photograph, taken at the Commonwealth Youth Forum, there is a sponsorship logo of the American University of Malta, a fictitious outfit.

How is this possible? It is possible because Malta is now run by La Piovra – the Taghna Lkoll version and not the Italian Mafia version.

They get their tentacles round everything and their cronies and business associates are helped and pushed to the max – even when, as in the case of the fictitious American University of Malta, they don’t really exist but are just a shell for the personal interests of cronies who give or take money.
