Labour mayor of Qormi and CHOGM Organisation Committee employee recruits staff for Paceville boss Hugo Chetcuti

Rosianne Cutajar is the Labour mayor of Qormi. After the general election, she moved from private sector employment as a teacher in a church-run school to the state payroll, with a full-time job in Phyllis Muscat’s offices at the CHOGM Organisation Committee.

Renowned for her failure to understand boundaries, she thinks nothing of using Facebook to recruit employees personally for Hugo Chetcuti’s bars.

I imagine that none of her political bosses are able or willing to explain to her why this is wholly inappropriate and wrong – and that even if the recruiting were somebody other than Chetcuti.

You just have to wonder exactly what is going on beneath the surface.
