The police have got to clamp down on these ‘Chinese massage parlours’

They’re springing up everywhere. The Opposition should ask a question in parliament about whether the authorities have any record of just how many there are, and who runs them. There are Chinese massage parlours even in obscure corners of the oddest villages, giving the impression that Censa ta’ Pinu pops in for a quick shoulder-rub on her way to the grocer.

The Sliema area is thick with them, and they look super-tacky. You never see any women going in; you never see anyone at all going in, but when you do, it’s always a man. Most of them are brothels. And the Chinese girls are there hanging around from early morning until really late at night, looking as dejected as prisoners.
