The Speaker slips up

Anglu Farrugia, departing from his prepared text while giving a speech this morning on the occasion of the Valletta Summit, referred to the Bush-Gorbachev meeting in 1989, and said that it took place a short way from Parliament House, in Grand Harbour.
Wasn’t he still in the Police Force at the time? So surely he, of all people, should know that it took place on board the Soviet ship Maxim Gorky, in Marsaxlokk harbour.
