The subject is women and the panel members are mainly men

women's pensions

The Labour Party’s women’s section has held a discussion on the subject of women’s pensions, but the only woman on the panel was former Labour MEP Claudette Abela Baldacchino, who has been put on the state payroll at Minister Michael Farrugia’s office.

In any case, the time for ‘women’s sections’ in Labour Party and the Nationalist Party is long gone. Having a section specifically for women – a ghetto – means that the actual party and its main concerns are for men and with men. This is particularly ridiculous when you consider that the Nationalist Party’s president and secretary-general are both women, and the Labour Party bills itself as liberal and progressive.
