You’d think a newspaper in the Gulf States would relate immediately to the name ‘Muscat’

The Maltese surname Muscat is a ‘place of origin’ name relating to the prominent port of Muscat (Masqat) in today’s Oman. But Joseph Muscat met Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, today and The Gulf Today reported him as being Joseph Moscato, prime minister of Malta.

It also mentions his accompanying delegation – I can’t help but wonder who was in it.
