Have you noticed how all of this government’s really big deals are with non-EU operators?

In other words, operators who are not subject to the same systems of scrutiny on corruption that EU operators are.
Today we discover that the government is going to transfer land at Zonqor Point to the Jordanian construction company owner Hani Hasan Naji Al Salah even though he doesn’t yet have accreditation for his nonexistent university.
But that’s OK, the government tells us, because if the Jordanian builder doesn’t get accreditation from Martin Scicluna’s outfit for his university that doesn’t exist, then the land transfer will be void.
So no pressure on Martin Scicluna and the accreditation outfit, then.
I sometimes wonder who is greasing whose palms with silver. These situations are way too abnormal and highly questionable.
