L-Istrina charade update: €760,000 minimum donated by big business, Taghna Lkoll operators, the Malta Developers Association and even the Ministry of Finance, state authorities and the Central Bank

In an earlier post today we saw how €1.4 million of the €4 million which they claimed were collected last Saturday were in fact collected at events held throughout the year. And how, on top of that, another €400,000 were collected a month ago from the auction of cars used during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

That’s already €1.8 million. Now here below you can see that around €760,000 were funnelled in by big business, Taghna Lkoll operators like the Seabank Hotel, James Caterers, the Bank of Valletta and the Tumas Group, the Malta Developers Association which is lobbying the government for more development permits, the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank, the Malta Gaming Authority, and Transport Malta, besides General Soft Drinks which is run by the Taghna Lkoll chairman of Air Malta whose boyfriend was given a job at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting Organisation Committee.

So in effect you have more than €2.5 million of that €4 million figure which were not collected on the day at all, besides the fact that so many of these donations are favours called in or payments tendered in consideration of some favour gained already or expected in the near future.
